A fitting tribute

Finally! On a two-month anniversary of her visit with her three cubs, our mountain lioness, of whom I can’t help subconsciously think of as Erica, adorns our log house and joins our gallery of stylized frames.

I hope, that this serves justice to her divine apparition in our life at Sasqlodge. I agonized and labored for over a month to come up with a dignified monument. I almost fell off a rocky cliff, while cutting down the selected young birch for the frame. The job involved a chain saw, table saw, radial arm saw and a sundry of other hand and power tools.

Deer skin - the thread of her life

She joins our friend Grizz. (In aspen)

And an island camp scene from my solo paddling on Lake Superior. (In driftwood).
